After being mortally wounded in a shootout with the police, serial killer Charles Lee Ray uses voodoo to transfer his soul into a “Good Guy” doll named Chucky. The doll is bought by Karen Barclay for her son, Andy. Chucky comes to life and goes on a murderous rampage, attempting to possess Andy to become human again.

Child’s Play 2 (1990):
Following the events of the first film, Chucky is resurrected by the toy company to disprove the negative publicity. He tracks down Andy, who is now in foster care, to once again try to possess his body. Chucky’s reign of terror continues as he eliminates anyone who gets in his way.
